What our guests have said

Third meeting with gritters after Lyon and Nice.

As before, this time was also a very happy and enjoyable time.

As much as meeting new places, I think spending good time with good people is one of the biggest pleasures of traveling.

If you find a good relationship with a good person, there's nothing like a grater.

I would like to express my gratitude to Bridgitte and Alexa for bringing me pleasant memories in every corner of Nuremberg.

Thank you so much for your trust, and warm regards from Soie

We’d also like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderful, informative time we spent with Ruth and Wolfram!

It was such a wonderful experience to rediscover our city through so many intimate, little hidden gems.

Even my brother—who was born in Nuremberg but lives in Frankfurt, and received this city tour from me as a birthday gift—was absolutely thrilled to discover all the beautiful hidden corners in our city.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day—once again, a big thank you to Ruth and Wolfram!

Warm regards to the whole team, Anna Held

Your dedication as Greeters is already extraordinary, but this far exceeded our expectations. The day was brilliant. I’m still impressed by how much effort Ruth and Wolfram put into this Greet – both in the run-up to it and on the day itself. We had a very special day, getting to know the city from its very best side – both in terms of the weather (a dream!) and the information provided, the variety of sights and spots, and also the encounters with other people. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We were very impressed and satisfied with the tour. We saw and heard so much, and everything was well organized.

Best regards again from both of us to Holger and Susanne

Many thanks and best regards from

Dear Nuremberg Greeters team,

On behalf of the three groups from the Basque Country, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the exceptional guided tour you gave us during our visit to Nuremberg. All the groups have agreed to the photos being published on your website and on social media.

Your warmth and your in-depth knowledge of the city’s history and culture made this an unforgettable experience. Each of our three groups was fascinated by the stories you told, the hidden corners you showed us, and the passion you so clearly feel for your city. It was not just a guided tour, but a journey through time, full of meaning and a sense of connection.

Please pass on our thanks to Benedikt, Barbara, Scott, Siggi, Astrid and all the volunteers at Nuremberg Greeters. You are wonderful ambassadors for your city, and we hope to welcome you one day to our beautiful Basque Country.

Many thanks and warm regards on behalf of all the groups,

Dear Astrid, dear Siggi, we came across you online and were delighted that you were both able to help our French guests fall in love with Nuremberg during a leisurely, relaxed stroll. They particularly enjoyed the gingerbread from the bakery you recommended to us.

We’re sure they’ll be back.

Best regards, Ulrike and Manfred

Dear Nürnberg Greeters,

Thank you, Alexander and Astrid, for taking the time to show us around Nürnberg. We started the tour at Frauentor and ended at Heilig-Geist-Spital, and we truly enjoyed every moment.

We especially loved the charming architecture and were delighted to see Bratwurstgasse, the shortest street. Thank you, Astrid, for letting us try the Nürnberger Lebkuchen. It was absolutely delicious! And many thanks to Alexander for the Rauschgoldengel. A truly beautiful blessing that we will remember.

We had a wonderful time in Nürnberg, and we hope that one day we will have the opportunity to show you around Taiwan in return.
