The tour by Monika and Paul was the highlight of our stay in Nuremberg.
Both guided us with a lot of knowledge and kindness.
We thank you again for the good organization and will recommend you to others.

Barbara was a great greeter and made us feel very comfortable. We were taken to areas of Nuremberg we wouldn't have otherwise found (including the main sights), and she shared some interesting facts with us. She even helped us find a nice restaurant for dinner and showed us the famous gingerbread! We will be happy to recommend her 😊. Thank you so much (Barbara, George, and Sarah, December 13, 2024 - UK)

We were all thrilled with the perfectly tailored city tour with Susanne and Holger. Our many questions were answered promptly, and the two had plenty of insider tips about Nuremberg for us. Thank you all so much.
We will be happy to recommend you and will definitely use you again on our next city tour.
Many greetings

We would like to sincerely thank Astrid and Manfred for the wonderful time we spent together, during which we felt like we were traveling with friends. We gained wonderful impressions and learned interesting information about the city that certainly wouldn't have been found in a guidebook. We liked this concept so much that we will definitely take advantage of this wonderful offer again in the future, provided there are greeters available. Thank you for the wonderful time!
Best wishes and a peaceful Christmas season from

Dear Holger,
Thank you so much for the fantastic city tour. We had a great time. We felt truly in good hands with you. Your detailed explanations and personal anecdotes helped us get a better understanding of Nuremberg. We plan to recommend it to many others in our "we integrate eV" association.

Monika and Paul were great and a highlight of our visit to Nuremberg. Our pre-meeting communication was clear and responsive, so we had no trouble meeting them on the street. They had a plan for our tour but adapted it to our interests. Monica had a folder of historical photos for comparison with modern times and many interesting anecdotes about the city. They gave us tips for further activities and sights, but most of all, we enjoyed getting to know them. Their enthusiasm and warmth for the city radiated from them and delighted us. We learned not only about the historical events in Nuremberg, but also about current politics and the challenges facing Germany today. Thank you, Greeters. (John and Andrée - Australia, 4.10.24)

We spent a wonderful afternoon in Nuremberg with Barbara. Barbara is incredibly warm and welcoming, and she went out of her way to tell us all the stories about the city, from the Middle Ages to modern times, from the landscape to the cuisine. She patiently answered all our questions and even introduced us to the famous "3 im Weckla" (three in a roll)! Her helpfulness and friendliness earned our respect, and she also gave us valuable advice for our future travels. We feel like we've grown to love Nuremberg even more thanks to Barbara's introduction! We're already looking forward to returning in a few months to experience the Christmas atmosphere. Thanks again to Barbara for all the effort you put into this guide—it will remain unforgettable! 😊Thank you so much!

"As part of a family reunion, Antje and Siggi picked us up on the morning of October 5, 2024, at the Cloud One Hotel for a guided tour of the old town. We are a Berlin family with two teenage children. For all of us, Nuremberg was previously little more than a black spot on the map. That has now changed! (Among other things, we learned that the current "Bavarian King" lives and works there.) I really liked Siggi's calm, unpretentious, knowledgeable, and humorous manner. He often interjected historical digressions in response to our unqualified questions and interruptions, illustrating them with a relevant photo, map, or illustration on the tablet he had brought with him. Given Luis's (17) sore feet, Siggi was flexible enough to allow him to buy new sneakers along the way and rejoin the tour later. The tour was knowledgeable and detailed, yet never seemed stuffy or academic. I really like the idea of exploring a city in a small group through direct contact with a locals and, of course, chat about personal matters. Thank you very much for that, it was a good thing!" Georg

"We had a wonderful day in Nuremberg with greeters Astrid and Axel. My two sisters and I were on a short trip to the Franconian metropolis, and thanks to the perfect tour, we gained a good insight into the city, an overview of its history, and learned many surprising details. It was so pleasant to stroll through the streets, have lively conversations, and learn so much about Nuremberg along the way. This day has made us even more curious about Nuremberg—we'll be back and will be happy to let the greeters guide us even deeper into Nuremberg's beauties. Many thanks from Heidrun, Dörte, and Ute."

We had a wonderful day with Alexa. Initially, we planned to meet in front of our accommodation by bike at 10:00 a.m., and I was very tempted to cancel the meeting because we had to experience a severe thunderstorm with thunder and lightning that day. However, Alexa got there first and offered to postpone the tour by an hour and do a guided tour of the city instead of the bike tour along the Pegnitz River. We agreed, and Alexa brought two umbrellas for us just in case, although we ended up not needing them. She led us through the old town past many different ancient buildings and churches and was able to tell us something historical about each one. I've already forgotten the details, but this day with Alexa remains an unforgettable one for my husband Fritz and me. In addition to the sightseeing, we also talked about very personal things and therefore felt very comfortable with our greeter. To round things off, we accidentally discovered a small organic shop that served lunch, as well as coffee and cake, at the end of our tour, and enjoyed a delicious meal and drink there. We relaxed and enjoyed our wonderful day with Alexa with further personal conversations and, of course, thank everyone at this wonderful organization for their tremendous efforts for what were, for the first time, complete strangers. Best wishes from Fritz and Regina

In addition to the many impressions, the city's serenity remains in our memories. Despite the high season, we never felt crowded. We visited the Dürer House in the afternoon, and on Sunday we had time for a tour of the Railway Museum, the Avenue of Human Rights, and the Gerhard Richter paintings in the Neues Museum. There was no rush anywhere. It was a bit like a large, tranquil animal with a few birds running around on it. We would like to repeat this experience in the not-too-distant future and hope to see you again. Thank you very much for the wonderful time, you're doing a great job. "Hello Susanne, hello Holger; we wanted to thank you again for the wonderful and, above all, very informative afternoon. We got so many tips from you that we—and especially Charlotte—want to try out soon. At the last minute, we changed our plans and went to Kaspar Schmauser (very, very tasty), and for dessert, we had ice cream from the ice cream parlor behind St. Lawrence Church (a dream...). We wish you a wonderful evening; best wishes (Kirsten and Charlotter - Germany, August 31, 2024)

We had a very nice, fun afternoon with Claudia and Steffi from the greeters and received a lot of information about Nuremberg.
Thank you,
Cornelia and Elle - 29.08.24, Germany
We got a wonderful insight off the beaten track. Claudia chose the route very well, and despite the intense heat, we were often in the shade. It was very entertaining and we had a great time. We give it 6 out of 5 stars. Thank you so much, keep it up!

Dear Barbara, dear Manfred, thank you again for this interesting and entertaining walk through your beautiful Nuremberg!
I had a lot of fun with it.
It was also nice to be able to exchange ideas as greeters. And perhaps soon we'll be able to say:
Nuremberg greeters meet Düsseldorf greeters in Düsseldorf…
You are cordially invited!

We really enjoyed the tour; it was like walking through Nuremberg with friends. Monika pointed out interesting things to us and showed us many beautiful spots in Nuremberg. I highly recommend it. We saw a lot, walked a lot, and also took a coffee break together. Best wishes from Michelstadt!

"Now that's what I call spontaneous – four days before our short trip to Nuremberg, we contacted the greeters and actually received a personal confirmation for our desired date for a walking tour very promptly. We spent some entertaining hours with Siggi and Astrid, set off from our hotel towards the Old Town in perfect weather, and chatted away as we discovered Nuremberg: starting with the explanations of the Meistersinger and Albrecht Dürer, continuing on to the Beautiful Fountain (where we successfully found the golden and black rotating rings), the Imperial Castle, the Hangman's Bridge, the Marriage Carousel, and the Opera House. We can only pass on the tip for our dinner at the Holy Spirit Hospital – it's worth it. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for your time and the stories, and best wishes from Hanover."

"Astrid and Siggi showed us (a small group of Augsburg Greeters) their favorite spots in the old town on a long walk in midsummer temperatures, sharing fascinating stories about buildings, fountains, and residents. We had a wonderful time together, including a snack of the legendary Nuremberg bratwurst, cold drinks, and a lively exchange about our Greeter experiences. Thank you very much – we'd love to come back."

We thought the walk was fantastic! Our desire to get to know the old town was wonderfully fulfilled from start to finish. Being picked up directly from our hotel saved us the hassle of searching for a starting point. And the originally agreed-upon two hours turned into four without us even noticing. The time flew by. Holger and Susanne always had exciting stories and funny anecdotes to tell. We would definitely ask the Nuremberg Greeters again and would happily recommend them to others.

The two super nice greeters Astrid and Siggi agreed at very short notice
agreed to show us the city and some special places. Thanks again for that!
We had a great afternoon despite the bad weather and learned a lot of interesting and useful information about the city from the perspective of locals (historical, culinary, and much more).
We will be happy to contact the greeters again on other city trips!!

We are six friends who take a city trip once a year. This time, we went to your beautiful Nuremberg. With our greeters Astrid and Siggi, we enjoyed an interesting, knowledgeable, and cheerfully humorous three-hour walking tour of Nuremberg. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you very much. Best wishes from Düsseldorf and Essen.

It was a pleasure to meet Alexa and have her give us an overview of this charming city. She was full of interesting information and pointed out some great food options, as well as a lot of Nuremberg's history. We both had a great afternoon, which ended with a tour and ice cream.
