We had our greet with Barbara on 19.04.2025. She picked us up at the castle, where we were staying in the youth hostel, and was totally warm and friendly right from the start. After a short time, we had the feeling that we had met an old friend again and not that we had only just got to know each other.
First we went up to the castle, from there you have a great view over Nuremberg. This gave us a panoramic view and the first information about the castle and the city. From there, we headed towards Weißgerbergasse, where we could admire many well-preserved old houses. We then strolled through the pedestrian zone, got tips for my daughter on shopping and recommendations on where to eat well. She also showed us a great chocolate store.
Barabara gave us a great mix of information about the city of Nuremberg with historical background and tips for leisure activities. At the end, we had a coffee together and she offered that we could contact her at any time in the next few days if we had any questions

As a Franconian from Knoblauchsland, I was really surprised at how little I know about the history of Nuremberg. The afternoon with the Honsels was wonderful for me, very funny, full of news, great stories and views. I enjoyed every minute and felt completely at ease. Holger's knowledge is a real treasure trove, it's incredible what he knows and can tell in such an exciting way. Many thanks to you both and to Greeters for allowing me to experience my homeland from a completely different perspective.
Best regards, Anette
